Curriculum Grants Up to $1,500 Available to VRP Schools!
Vermont Rural Partnership members! Your site is entitled to apply for a mini grant for the current school year. Grants may be applied for up to $1,500. Additionally all teachers/schools who document and publish their project on the VRP website will receive a personal check for $250 upon publication. We have $5,000 in stipends available.
APPROVED GRANTS: Eden, Peacham, Cabot, Doty, Rivendell, Barnett, Lakeview, Twinfield, Isle La Motte

School Communities Learn Tools for Change at Be the Buzz! The Youth and Adults Transforming Schools Together (YATST) Be the Buzz! Conference was a tremendous success, bringing together 160 students and adults from 18 schools recently. The purpose of the conference, held at Goddard College in Plainfield, was to give students and adults the tools they need to make changes in their schools. The focus was on “what is possible” in schools, not “what is wrong” with schools. more |

Featured Unit: Quebec Bread Ovens Examining the importance of bread in French society and throughout the world. Students study the process of making bread and then study the French vocabulary to be used as the students bake their own bread. Students make bread while using solely French to communicate with their partners. Later they study the evolving designs, uses, existence and impact of bread ovens more
