Professional Development and Training
Community Works Institute (CWI) offers a variety of professional development opportunities, including customized ON SITE trainings for local organizations and school districts. We have worked with educators and organizations across the U.S. and internationally.

We help educators create curriculum and programs that connect students and schools to their communities using CWI best practice based model. CWI trainings are conducted by veteran members of our nationally acclaimed faculty. We also offer annual week long intensive Summer Institutes. We will work with you to develop a customized training or presentation to meet your own school or organization's unique needs. (Our fee schedule is available on request)

Web Site Design and Development
We assist educational organizations and schools in documenting and sharing their story through the use of on-line media. We support the process of both collecting and of telling the story. Technical support may take a variety of forms including: creation of a partnership that makes use of our web site; or providing design support for an organization in developing an independent web site.

Publishing for the Community with Students
We support educators in the development of student created and run publications that reach the entire community. Community focused publiscations are an excellent way to provide meaningful service while deepening academic and skills based learning. CWI faculty members draw from their first hand experience with a number of school based projects.

Reflection, Documentation, Program Evaluation & Publication
We provide support for documentation and publication, including print publication and Web site development. Our goal is to assist educators, schools, and organizations in sharing their stories and teaching strategies with others, which often fulfills grant or funding requirements.
